Hormone Testing

Hormone testing options and what they look like.

For patients on the Menopause Method and Andropause Method, we use at-home tests that are collected on your own schedule and mailed to the lab. Which test makes sense is individualized, and your clinician will recommend the best fit.

Dried urine

DUTCH test

An at-home test using dried urine samples collected on a small paper strip at set times across a day. It looks at hormones, how your body breaks them down, and your daily cortisol pattern.

Saliva

ZRT Laboratory test

An at-home saliva test. You collect a few small saliva samples on your own schedule and mail them to the lab. It measures hormone levels and is a simple way to track changes over time.

24-hour urine

Rhein Labs 24-hour test

A urine test collected over a full 24 hours rather than a single moment. It gives a picture of hormone output averaged across the whole day.

Testing is available when recommended; kit and cost vary. Results are reviewed with you in a telemedicine consult.

Prefer patches or over-the-counter hormones?

Patients who want hormone patches or over-the-counter hormones, such as those available at CVS, can be seen with our Foundational Membership. You do not need the Menopause Method or Andropause Method to be a patient here.
